On the cross Jesus spoke to a dying man also hung with Jesus asking said “What can I do for you?: That is always Gods first word to you and I. Gods first word to me and to you is never a command. If I am expecting a command I may well miss His loving eagerness to hear what He wants me to hear which is His desire to serve me .
As a teenager I Remember I used to be so afraid that if asked God what he wanted me to do he would surely say “Be a missionary to Africa!! The truth is that the only person God would send to Africa as a missionary would be a person who from the core of his heart wanted to be a missionary to Africa. After all, Jesus left heaven to give us all beautiful salvation.
