There is a favorite story of mine, It goes like this. After a meeting where I had shared I had twenty four years in program a newcomer approached me with a question. Here is the question,
“George after all the years you have in program you are bound to be an expert in some part of the program”.
George: ” Oh my brother after all my years I have become an expert in one area of the program”. I paused dramatically.
New Guy: “Please tell me about it. I really want to learn”. I paused again. The intensity built.”I am a total expert on bad ideas. Every bad idea that exists I have tried it out over and over again”.
We looked at each other intently. Finally he got the joke and we both laughed and hugged.
