I have been thinking about sarcasm, Mine at others and others at me. I am told that the literal meaning of the word sarcasm is flesh tearing.. That sarcasm tears people up is my experience both ways. I also can see this.
Having been attacke by sarcasm has often been followed by someone saying “I was just kidding. That is tantamount to getting told “You should not be so sensitive. If you were not weak you would not have been offended”.
Here is the truth as far as I am concerned. Whether or not a remark is sarcasm or a joke is easy to discern. A joke is fun for both people. George.
