All my life people have quoted the old rhyme to me:
“Georgie Porgie puddin’ pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry.
When the boys came out to play
Georgie Porgie ran away.
I have never minded people quoting that rhyme to me provided they understood the true meaning of the poem. Two points need to me clarified.
1. The girls I kissed were crying for more kisses.
2. The last two lines need to be corrected so it is true to what the original author wrote.
When the boys came out to play
All the girls chased them away.
Please make the necessary corrections before you quote it the next time. Thank you
Respectfully, George
